四年级下册《Unit 4 Drawing in the park》单元整体教学设计

一.教材简介

本单元的话题是“人与自然”强调能画出公园里的事物并能感受公园的美丽以及分享在公园里的乐趣,话题内容非常贴近学生的生活实际。通过学习,学生能够描述身边常见的景物,能运用学到的单词、句型尝试用书面语对身边的事物进行描述和评价,学会如何询问他人是否具有某项技能。引导学生将课本知识应用到具体的、真实的情境中去,让学生在主题情境中进行真实交际,提高学生的语言交际能力。在一系列具有整合性、关联性、实践性的学习理解、应用实践、迁移创新学习活动中,培养学生的图片分析能力,提高语言表达能力,发展积极的情感态度,树立正确的价值观。

二.教学内容

Story time板块呈现了Mike和弟弟Tim在公园一边看风景,一边画画的场景。对话中Mike询问Tim在公园里所看到的事物并追问Tim是否能画出来,弟弟Tim做出相对应的回答。学习句型What can you see?及其回答I can see...理解并掌握情态动词can的用法和Can you...?及其回答。并能正确理解和使用祈使句邀请他人一起做某事,学会赞美、认可他人。该语篇通过兄弟两人的对话向学生展示了公园常见事物的英文表达,同时也体现出兄弟间的赞美鼓励与支持,展现了健康积极的生活态度。让学生在目标语言学习与建构的过程中学会得体地进行社会交往,形成良好的个人品质。

三.教学目标

知识目标:

1.学生能熟练掌握本单元所学单词以及词组:draw, picture, park, flower, boat, river, easy, difficult;

2.学生能熟练掌握日常交际用语:Can you draw them/it? Good idea!Sure, it’s easy. It’s difficult, but I can try.

3.能初步用以下句型: What can you see? I can see …来对看到的事物进行交流;初步用句型Can you …? 询问交流会做的事。

4.学生能用跨学科思维收获有关美术和地理学科的知识,分别通过美术和地理的角度感受自然的美。

5.能够较准确的朗读课文并在教师的指导下尝试表演。

技能目标:

1.培养学生综合运用语言的能力

2.培养学生观察,归纳,思维和想象的能力。

情感目标:

培养学生热爱自然,发现探究自然之美。

 

四:教学流程:

1.Warming up

T:Good morning, boys and girls

Ss:Good morning. Miss Wu.

T:Very good. You know my Chinese name.Very good. Thank you. Boys and girls, you know, today l am your new teacher, right?

Ss:Yes.

T:And you are my new students. So let's get to know each other better. I'll tell you my name is Miss Wu and my English name is Wendy. You can call me Wendy. And what can l do?Well, can teach English and l can draw pictures. And l think my pictures are goodAnd I also have something about me. l like to eat chocolate.They're yummy. Okay, so what about you?

S:My name is Lucas.l can draw pictures.l like turtles.They are slow and cute. like drawing pictures too.

T: Give me a hand!Maybe, Lucas, next time we can draw together. Because you can draw.l can draw.That's perfect. Anybody?

S:My name is Allen.

T:Hi, Allen.

S:Hi, Wendy. l am 10 years old and l like to eat chocolate too.

T:Maybe next time we can eat chocolate together.But you know what? l eat a lot of chocolate,so youbetter choose another one to eat with you.

(设计意图:师生之间通过简单自我介绍自己能做的,喜欢的食物等拉近彼此关系,缓解学生上课的紧张感。)

T:So guys, it's very nice to know something about you. And today we're going to learn a lesson.And in our lesson. Two people will do things together. Who are they?

S:Mike and Tim

T:Who is Tim?

S:This little boy is Tim.

T:So Tim is Mike's...

S:Little brother.

T:Yes, you're right.

T:What can they do together

How do you know that?

2.Let's look closely

T:They are going to do something together. But can you guess what can they do together and how do you know that? I want you to talk and discuss in groups.

T:Hey everybody, time is up for discussion.Can you telme what can they do together? How do you know it, that boy.

S:They can draw pictures together,

T:How do you know they can draw pictures?

S:Because Mike has some drawing pens ansome papers.

T:You mean drawing pencils, right? And some drawing pencils and some drawing paper.

Anything else you can see?

S:l can see the brush on Mike's bag.

T:You're right, You know what? On Mike's bagthere is a palette. And this palette is for you to put some color on it. So they are going to draw something.Actually today we are going to learn Unit 4.We are going to learn about Mike and Tim drawing in the park. We're going to learn about them drawing in the park and we are going to learn about story and a little bit about painting and art. Yes. Are you excited?

T:Hey.All right. So let's take a look. First, Mike says...

Ss:Let's draw some pictures here.

T:And is Tim very happy?

Ss:Yes.

T:How do you know Tim is happy?

S:Because Tim is smiling and he says, good idea.

T:Perfect.Because Tim says good idea.Show me your thumb up. Let's say good idea.

Ss:Good idea.(用手势一边演示Good idea,一边模仿)

3. Picture walk

T:Now. So l maybe, yeah, maybe, but l have a question.Actually, they do something before they draw. My question is, what do they do before they draw? Actually, the answer is in the pictures.We are going to take a picture walk. Okay? Okay, let's go.

Q:What do they do before they draw ?

T:All right, we're gonna stop right there.So can you tell me what do they do before they draw, this boy?

S:They see something before they draw.

T:Do you agree?

S:Yes, they find something they want to draw

T:So you can say if l put you two answers together, they see something, then they find something, then they sit down and draw.

T:Perfect. Give yourself a big hand.

4.Let's read

T:We are going to read and find out what can they see. There are two ways for you to read

No.1.| read, you read.

No. 2, you read by yourself. Which one do you like?

T:Why do you choose No. 2?You don't like my voice? Tell me why you don't want to read with me. You want to read by yourself? Why?That boy.

S:l think it's easy.

T:lt's very easy. Let's say it's easy

Ss:lt's easy.

T:Very easy.

Ss:Very easy.

T:ls it very easy though?I'm not sure. So let's read it first. You are going to read by yourself like this. Let's draw some pictures here. Good idea. What things? Okay, l give you half of a minute or maybe one minute. Go to read by yourself.

park?

T:Great.They can see tree and some flowers .l say pronunciation. You say the letters .Yeah, very easy.Tree, everybody. Let's try.

T:Tree.

T:A tree.

Ss:A tree.

T:What about flowers? A tree and some flowers.Good ones.Some flowers. So anything else? That girl over there.

S:They can see a lake and a boat

T:ls this a lake?

S:No.Ita river.

T:You told me it's easy. Hey, what about you?

Ss:They can see a river.

T:They can see a river. How to spell river?

T:Yeah, you are very good. They can see a river. lt's not a lake,it's a river.Anything else?

S:They can also see a boat on the river.

5.Geography Lab

T:Just now you told me it's a lake. We learlake before. Did you learn lake? Yeah, yes.have a question. What is lake? What is river?You see, they're all water, right? So what is the difference? First of all, everybody put your hands down.

Welcome to my geography lab. And we are going to learn a little bit about geographyAnd let's go.

T:This is it. They are all water, but they have many different aspects.Lets enjoy a video first.

T:Now this is called a venn diagram. lt helps us to know what is the same and what are differences between river and lake. Okay, now, first of all, can you tell me what is the same about them?

S:The same between a lake and a river is they are all water.

T:Oh, yeah, they're all water. Lake is water,river is water. Now, what about their differences? What is a lake, that boy!

S:A lake is a body of water that was surrounded by land.

S:And lakes usually have shapes.

T:And lakes, lake usually have shapes. Okay.

And what is the most famous lake in Nanjing?

S:lt's Xuanwu Lake.

T:Okay, right there.Xuanwu Lake. Alright, so this is about lake.What about a river?

S:The river is very long and it runs into the sea.

T:lt runs to the sea.What is the most famous river in Nanjing? Tell me together.

Ss:Qinghuai River

T:lt's a part of Yangzi River. Okay, so everbody,you right, a lake and a river are all water. But a lake is surrounded by land or mountains. Lakes have shapes. The most famous lake is Xuanwu Lake.

T:What about a river? Let's say it together

Ss:A river is very long. lt runs to the sea.The most famous river in Nanjing is Qinghuai River.

6. In a good picture

T: Tim can draw a good picture, because he see many things. If you want to draw a goo picture. What can you do?

S: I can smell...

7. Group work

分小组合作,打开信封中的图片说一说I can...I can.../I can...

(设计意图:5小组合作调动五官从多角度欣赏美,赞叹自然之美,体验感官的乐趣。)
