【教学内容】Froggy’s New Job(课外阅读:Extending reading)

【教学目标】

1.知识与技能:

(1)能读懂课外故事《Froggy’s New Job》;

(2)能听、说、读故事中出现的几个重要词汇:want to be/do...;be afraid of flying;be (not) good at singing/swimming;be brave;fly an aeroplane;a pilot;a star等。

(3)通过拓展课外阅读,进一步活用、巩固单元语法知识。

2、过程与方法:

(1)通过小组表演,学习与人合作;

(2)通过主动提问、猜想,提升语言水平和思维质量。

3、情感态度与价值观:能理解故事隐含的深意Do what you can do, do what you like to do, you’ll enjoy your job and life.

【教学重点】

(1)能读懂课外故事《Froggy’s New Job》;

(2)能听、说、读故事中出现的几个重要词汇:want to be/do...;be afraid of flying;be (not) good at singing/swimming;be brave;fly an aeroplane;a pilot;a star等。

(3)通过拓展课外阅读,进一步活用、巩固单元语法知识。

【教学难点】

(1)能读准字音:aeroplane,pilot, suddenly;

(2)能选择其中的片段进行表演;

(3)能理解故事隐含的深意。

【教学过程】

一、引入新课

T:Today, a new animal friend comes to our class.Who is he?

Ss:(Try to ask questions about him according to the items.)

T:(Listen and respond)

Ss:(Learn to say the new word ‘frog’.)

T:Let’s call him“Froggy”(呈现:主人公图片)

 

二、学习新知与练习巩固

1.T:Froggy has a new job.(呈现标题,朗读标题)

What’s his new job?

Ss:(Listen to the story and choose.)

T:Can you read the new word?

Ss:(Try to read.)

T:life生命+guard保卫——lifeguard救生员(呈现)

Ss:(Learn to read the new word.)

T:What is a lifeguard?

Ss:(Read and learn:

•wear the lifejacket at work;

•work at the lake,the beach(沙滩) or the swimming pool;

•save(救援) people in danger(危险) in the water.)

2.T:Lifeguard is Froggy’s new job.

But what does Froggy want to be first?Why?(板书)

Ss:(Read the first part while listening.)

T:What does Froggy want to be first?

S1:He wants to be a pilot.(呈现)

T:Why does he want to be a pilot?

S2:He wants to fly an aeroplane.

T:Look at the picture.Can he be a pilot?Can he fly an aeroplane?

Ss:No, he can’t.Because he is afraid (of flying).

T:Let’s learn to answer the question clearly:

  Froggy wants to be a______________.

Because he wants to ______________.

But he ________________.

So he can't be a ________.

Ss: (Learn to answer.)

3.T:What does Froggy want to be then?

Ss:(Read the second part freely.)

T:Who wants to read it for us?

S:(Read individually.)

Ss: Froggy ______________.

But ________________.

So he can't be a ________.

Ss:(Read together.)

4.T:Froggy is sad. Suddenly he hears a cry.

(播放声音:Help!Help!Help!)

What’s the matter?

Ss:(Look at the picture and say.)

T:A chick is in the lake.(chicken——chick)

What does Froggy do then?

Ss:(Look at the picture and say:

He_____ into the lake_____ the Lifeguard and _____ the chick.)

T:From this accident,what do you think of Froggy?

S1:He is good at swimming.(呈现)

S2:He is brave.(呈现)

T:Froggy saves the chick with the Lifeguard.Now they’re talking about something.Let’s read what they’re saying.

Ss:(Read the last part in group:

A.Read together.齐读。

B.Read after the little teacher.跟小老师读。

C.Read in role.分角色读。)

三、全课总结

1.T:After reading, do you know why Froggy likes his new job

Ss:(Discuss in group.)

Ss:(Answer freely.)

T:(Show:

He likes helping other people.他喜欢帮助别人。

He can do his new job well.他能干好新工作。

He does what he can do. 他做他能做的。

He does what he likes to do.他做他喜欢做的。

The new job is suitable for him.  新工作很适合他。)

Ss:(Choose and say.)

3.Homework:Write a passage,“My dream job”
